Binaural Beats: Sample Essay on Brainwaves Affecting Human Psyche

Heinrich Wilhelm Dove is the one people should be grateful to for the discovery of binaural beats. The latter were originally discovered in 1839. The physicist managed to discover binaural beats when he noticed the signals of two frequencies that were separately exposed to each ear. In the process the human brain detects the phase variation that lies between the frequencies as well as reconciles the difference.

When doing so, the frequencies mentioned above mesh both – in and out of the phase, and the human brain generates its unique third signal. The latter is known as ‘the binaural beat’. The binaural beat is equal to that very difference between the frequencies. Read the rest of this entry »
